THE TEAM

Meghan Hayden

Strength and Conditioning Coach NCSF/CPT/SFG1/FRA/AF1

A competitive athlete from a very young age. By the time I was 4, I was already playing 3 full-time sports year round, and even since at this early age, my experience with training was performance based. I always wanted to perform optimally for myself but more importantly to provide value for my athletic team, a principle that I later carried to my client training.

My purpose is serving others by solving problems and having the knowledge to do it successfully and with confidence. I am naturally curious - I always research evidence based information and I love it when my current beliefs are being challenged. I have the same process when it comes to handling injuries. Having extensive experience in rehab facilities and having worked with various practitioners, I have successfully rehabilitated injuries stemming from trauma, shattered joints, whiplash, gunshot wounds, surgery, sprained ankles, and more. And in the few cases that I come across cases outside of my scope of practice, I have a network of trusted specialists to whom I can refer my clients.

Once I realized the positive impact I was making on my clients I wanted to help as many people as possible, and this is what I aim to do with my Take Off With Meg membership. Whether you want to work in person, virtually, receive custom workout and meal plans, or subscribe to my pre-recorded training classes, you have so many opportunities to train with me no matter your location.

Why train with me?

The 2 pillars of my coaching methodology are human performance and human impact on the environment.

I optimize my client's performance by coaching proper movement mechanics so they move efficiently, laying a foundation of strength so they are resilient, and incorporating conditioning so they are energized. I program long term solutions rather than quick fixes because small consistent changes create sustainable results. My custom nutrition plan is designed to match your energy input with output, creating an efficient balanced system, by minimizing food waste and unnecessary nutrients.

I feel very strongly about the environmental impact our presence has on this world on the Earth,  and I fully support any intentional lifestyle choices that give back to the system that we take from. A sustainable, balanced system is crucial to ensure a better chance of survival on Earth, yet large corporations sway us to consume foods with low nutrient profiles, unnatural ingredients, and package them under layers of single-use plastics. It may have its short term advantages, but we pay a much higher price in poor work standards, low quality nutrients, and environmental damage. It’s unbelievable that half of the U.S. food supply ends up in the trash, yet a large percentage of the country’s population remains hungry and malnourished.

Take Off With Meg’s nutritional goal is to teach you how to maximize the nutrients you receive by making better food choices and reducing food waste, while at the same time you’re optimizing your body’s performance, and minimizing your carbon footprint.

TESTIMONIALS

"I’ve always wanted to train with Meghan ever since I started following her on Instagram. [...]
[...] If you thought Meghan was a good trainer virtually, just wait until you train with her in person! Not only do you get an amazing hands on experience, you also have a blast while doing it! She truly wants to make sure you are doing a movement correctly from start to finish so you don’t hurt yourself at any point. [...] It’s those small things she sees that makes her such a great trainer. [...]
She makes you laugh, sweat and sometimes even dance! I can’t thank her enough for what she’s taught me this year and for giving me the opportunity to train with her."

Jaclyn

“I met Meghan about a year ago with no clue on how to swing, clean, or snatch a kettlebell efficiently. But, with an open mind and hunger to get better, I was able to apply the expertise steps that Meghan set for me to become more efficient with these movements.

Now, here I am, a year later getting ready to take on the StrongFirst Certification this upcoming December (4 months away)

Thanks Coach Meg! Let’s keep working!”

Jay

“How can one expect to lead, coach and motivate their clients if they’re not willing to continually learn and improve themselves? Shout out to my coach Meghan Hayden for her kettlebell experience and expertise. It was all Turkish Get Ups yesterday capped off with some fun animal flow”

Ray

"I’ve played sports for 30+ years with all sorts of elite athletes and coaches at various stages of my life, and no doubt, Meghan is one of the best movement coaches in the country. My two favorite things about working with Meghan are that she’s a true teacher and approaches each engagement with an incredible amount of preparation.

Practice Meghan’s methods intently for a few months and watch your body transform."

"Finding Meg during quarantine was one of the best things that has ever happened to me! After a back and hip injury years ago, I had avoided so many things (kettlebells, burpees, etc.) and was extremely picky. Meghan got me pain-free, but have encouraged me to try things I thought were impossible. I am endlessly grateful and so psyched for 2021 witchu."

Mel

“Meghan is the reason I'm stronger at 30 than I was as a D1 athlete in college. She helped me get pain-free after my second back surgery and break down all of my mental barriers around weightlifting with a chronic injury. Movement is medicine, and Meghan's understanding of what my body needed was incredible.”
